The hotel sits in a quiet green valley about 2 km from central Quepos. It isn’t on the beach: town, the marina and the road to Manuel Antonio are minutes away, and the green starts at the door.

Seasons & weather

Costa Rica’s Pacific coast has a dry season and a green season. The dry months bring the most visitors and the highest prices. The rains run roughly from May to November, as one hotel article puts it, and the hotel’s retreat page singles out September and October as the rainy season proper. Its pages draw the season lines a little differently, so treat these as a rough guide.

Don’t let a rainy forecast put you off. In the hotel’s words, forecasts “almost always project daily rain”, but most rainy-season days start sunny, hot and dry and end with a few showers that often pass quickly. The green season brings fresh air, peaceful moments and endless shades of green.

Check the Quepos forecast the hotel links to.
