Quepos · Costa Rica 09° North / tropical state of mind
Treehouse living, jungle mornings & good company. Welcome to Villas Jacquelina, Quepos.
Welcome to our world
Villas Jacquelina is a family-run hotel in Quepos, built by the Acedo family as a stack of rooms, apartments and open-air terraces climbing into the treetops. Red rooftops, red stairs, hammocks everywhere.
It is comfortable without being precious, social without being loud — a place where guests come for the price and come back for the atmosphere.
Your day, your way
Fig. 1 — scarlet macaws, filmed near the hotel Birds before the alarm. The rooftop terraces look over a valley where scarlet macaws and tropical birds pass through — on the top floor, lucky guests sometimes meet toucans at eye level.
Served 7:30–9:00 · sign up in advance Homemade, on the terrace: a rotating menu of gallo pinto, fruit pancakes or breakfast tacos, always with fresh fruit and local coffee, and a vegan option.
Fig. 3 — the Manuel Antonio coast Manuel Antonio National Park is 7 km away. Waterfalls, mangroves, rafting and catamarans leave from the area — the family’s own Pura Vida Traveling arranges them from the front desk.
Fig. 4 — hammock, wind, repeat A hammock on the red floor. The pool between turf and palms. A book, a nap, a conversation with whoever is in the next hammock.
Plunge sessions twice a week — book ahead Stretch on the rooftop. On Pura Vida Plunge days, breathwork leads into the sauna and the two-person cold plunge — hot, cold, repeat.
Fig. 6 — sunset over the Pacific The sky does the work. Watch it from the terrace, or walk about fifteen minutes to the Quepos seafront, where the Pacific puts on a show most evenings.
These times are a mood, not a schedule. Breakfast, wellness sessions and tours have their own hours — see each page.

Our kind of pura vida
Steven Acedo built most of the building himself as its general contractor, and named it after his daughter Jacquelyn. Over the years the family added the pool, covered rooftop living spaces, blackout shades, light features and a small jungle of indoor plants. In 2019 his son Esteban took over the running of the place — and the same family runs Pura Vida Traveling.
