02 Wellness
Breathe in. Heat up. Jump in.
No spa robes, no menu of treatments — just a rooftop, a sauna, a cold tub and the jungle doing its soundtrack. Wellness here is simple and social.
The Pura Vida Plunge
The Pura Vida Plunge
Hot. Cold. Repeat.
The hotel’s contrast-therapy ritual, built in 2024: a guided breathwork and meditation session on the rooftop terrace, then time to move between the wood sauna and the two-person cold plunge at your own pace.
- 20 min Breathwork & meditation A guided session on the rooftop terrace to start.
- 30 min Sauna ⇄ cold plunge Open access to both. The booking page says most guests do 15–20 minutes of heat, then 3–10 minutes of cold, and repeat as they like.
- ∞ Then the hammock Not on the booking page, but it’s right there.
A one-minute pause
Try the rhythm before you arrive: follow the circle — in as it grows, out as it settles.

On the rooftop
A programme that changes with the week.
Sunrise meditation, yoga, stretching, breathwork, a rooftop movie night or a group walk around Quepos: the hotel says most activities are free for guests and change throughout the week. Ask at reception what’s on during your stay.
-
Sunrise meditation
Guided from the rooftop on the mornings it runs — the terraces open early.
-
Rooftop yoga & stretching
Classes and morning stretch sessions on the red terraces, when they’re on the board.
-
Breathwork
Part of the weekly rhythm and the start of every plunge session.
-
Workouts & outdoor gym
Turf and training equipment on the upper terrace; group workouts for groups.
-
Massage, on request
The hotel has offered massages on the terrace, including a hot-and-cold river-stone massage. Ask whether one can be arranged.
Bringing a wellness group?
The rooftop has hosted yoga retreats and 200-hour teacher trainings; group stays include the twice-weekly contrast therapy and free group activities.
